Today, Burlington Northern Santa Fe named Dave Galassi assistant vice president of transportation, quality and initiatives, and Mark Schulze, Galassi's successor as general manager of the Texas Division. Both appointments take effect May 15.
Schulze most recently served as vice president and chief sourcing officer.
"Our leadership model challenges us to 'make development a priority,' and this move provides both Mark and Dave with the opportunity to further broaden the diversity of their experience," said Carl Ice, BNSF executive vice president and chief operations officer, in a prepared statement.
