Bethel to succeed Regan as CSXT's VP-mechanical

CSX Transportation has appointed Gary Bethel vice president-mechanical to succeed Rich Regan, who will retire after serving the rail industry for 33 years.
Bethel most recently was manager of the Atlanta Division. He previously served as division manager of the Great Lakes Division and held various transportation positions. Bethel will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tony Ingram.
"[Bethel] will lead our efforts to maintain and improve our locomotive reliability and rail car availability, all with safety at the forefront," said Ingram in a prepared statement.
