Bi-State Development Commission's board elects new leadership

Missouri Commissioner Sam Gladney will serve as chair, Illinois Commissioner Terry Beach as vice chair, Illinois Commissioner Herbert Simmons as treasurer and Missouri Commissioner Andrea Jackson-Jennings as secretary.
As chair, Gladney succeeds Illinois Commissioner Herb Simmons, who chaired the board for the past two years, according to a Bi-State press release.
The commissioners assumed their new roles following the board’s June 21 meeting. The board operates the Metro public transportation system, which includes the MetroLink rail system, in eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois.
