Yesterday, BNSF Railway Co. announced it appointed Steve Bobb group vice president of the coal business unit to succeed Tom Kraemer, who plans to retire May 14.
Currently general manager of BNSF’s Texas Division, Bobb previously served as vice president of business unit operations and support, group VP of agricultural products, general director and VP of the chemicals business unit, and director of marketing for the minerals business unit.
Since beginning his BNSF career in 1981, Kraemer held stints as marketing manager for primary forest products, manager of strategic planning, director of interline marketing, general manager of equipment management, GM of locomotive management, GM of coal service design, and VP of coal and grain operations.
