The Containerization and Intermodal Institute (CII) yesterday announced it will honor Ken Kellaway and Jeff Lawrence for their achievements in the supply chain.
Kellaway will receive the 2022 Connie Award, which is awarded annually to an individual who has made significant contributions to the intermodal industry. Lawrence will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. CII will present the awards at a Dec. 5 luncheon in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Kellaway has more than 35 years of experience in the intermodal logistics space. He is the co-founder, president and CEO of RoadOne IntermodaLogistics, a port and rail drayage company with more than 2,100 trucks at 90 terminals nationwide. Kellaway is credited with developing the company’s dedicated solutions business, which provides long-term committed assets to customers in transloading, fleet operations and yard and chassis management programs.
An international transportation attorney based in Washington, D.C., Lawrence is co-chair of international practice at Cozen O’Connor, where he's worked for 12 years. Prior to joining the firm, Lawrence was a founding partner of Sher and Blackwell, which merged with Cozen O’Connor in 2010.
"Ken Kellaway represents the true entrepreneurial spirit that has fostered the innovation of the last 60 years of the supply chain industry … [and] Jeff Lawrence’s stellar legal career has touched on every facet of containerization and intermodalism," said CII President Steven Blust in a press release.
