CSX Corp. recently appointed Anne Chettle Reinke vice president of federal legislation to succeed Michael Ruehling, who will retire at year’s end. Reinke will report to Senior VP of Law and Public Affairs Ellen Fitzsimmons.
Reinke joined CSX in 2003 as director of federal affairs after serving the Association of American Railroads as manager of congressional relations. She has experience in federal legislative and agency issues involving economic regulation, rail safety, and high-speed and passenger rail. Now, Reinke will direct all federal government affairs activities, and continue to play a key role in shaping initiatives that support the quality and efficiency of rail transportation, CSX officials said in a prepared statement.
Ruehling joined CSX in 1989 after serving on the staff of former U.S. Sen. Wendell Ford (D-Ky.). Ruehling became VP of state relations in 1995 and VP of federal legislation in 2004.
