Yesterday, CSX Corp. announced former U.S. Sen. John Breaux has been nominated for election to the company's board. CSX will hold a board election during its annual shareholders meeting May 4.
Breaux currently serves as senior counsel at Washington, D.C., law firm Patton Boggs L.L.P. He served 14 years in the House and 18 years in the Senate before retiring in January.
During his Senate tenure, Breaux was a member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation, and Finance committees, and served as chairman of the Commerce Committee's Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Subcommittee.
