Last week, the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (JPB), which oversees Caltrain commuter-rail service, swore in Tom Nolan as a new board member to replace Nat Ford.
Nolan, who serves as chairman of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), will represent the agency on the JPB. He joined SFMTA’s board in 2006 and was elected chairman in 2009. Nolan previously served on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and boards at SamTrans and Caltrain.
The nine-member JPB includes three representatives from each of the three counties through which Caltrain operates: San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara.
