Carey joins Chicago RTA's board

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) in Chicago this week announced the appointment of Pat Carey as its newest board member.
Carey, who represents Lake County, succeeds Dwight Magalis, who served on the board for 20 years.
Carey has served as trustee and mayor of Grayslake, Illinois, as well as on the Lake County Board and Lake County Forest Preserve Board. She has held technology-related roles in the travel sector, including as senior vice president of technology services for WorldTravel BTI.
Most recently, she worked in an economic development and marketing role for the village of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
The RTA has financial oversight, funding and transit planning for the Chicago Transit Authority, commuter railroad Metra, the Pace bus and ADA paratransit in the Chicago region.
