Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway (MMA) recently promoted David Castilaw to the newly created position of general superintendent of transportation. Since joining MMA in July 2004, he has served as manager of train operations.

In 1970, Castilaw began his railroad career as a locomotive engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad, where he later became road foreman of engines. He previously served as manager of Flats Industrial Railroad, transportation superintendent for Georgetown Texas Steel, transportation manager for Mobil Oil Corp. and road foreman of engines for Springfield Terminal Railway Co.

The 745-mile MMA operates lines in Maine, Vermont, New Brunswick and Quebec.
