CentrePort Canada Inc. has hired Larry Johnson to serve as chief financial officer.

Johnson has more than 15 years of experience as a CFO and vice president of finance in manufacturing, financial services, property development and agriculture.

He also has expertise in banking relations and finance, and an operational background with more than 25 years of experience in financial reporting, financial statement preparation and presentation, regular reporting and analysis, as well as cash flow management and cost control measures, CentrePort officials said in a press release.

"Larry is joining CentrePort at an extremely exciting time as we move forward with the development of our new Rail Park and other important revenue-generating initiatives," said CentrePort President and Chief Executive Officer Diane Gray. "Larry will play a pivotal role in our next phases of development."

Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CentrePort is a 20,000-acre inland port and foreign trade zone. More than 270 acres have been developed or are in development by more than 46 different companies.
