Curtis named president of BNSF Logistics

BNSF Logistics LLC has promoted Dan Curtis to president, the company announced Tuesday.

Curtis has served as BNSF Logistics' chief operating officer since 2014. He has more than 15 years of experience in the transportation and logistics business.

As COO, Curtis led the over-the-road operating group through continued expansion to record profits, company officials said in a press release.

Prior to his COO appointment, Curtis served as BNSF logistics' chief financial officer for three years. Before joining the company, he served stints at Greatwide Logistics Services; Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst; and Ernst & Young.

Curtis said he's excited to serve the company's employees, customers and partners "in a bigger way."

"We are accelerating our people and technology initiatives to deliver significant value to our customers and partners now and for years to come," he said.
