Dallas Area Rapid Transit last week announced Elizabeth Reich as its new chief financial officer, effective July 18.
Reich will lead the transit agency’s accounting, financial reporting, budget, treasury, fare collections and fare payment systems, debt management, investment management and risk management functions, DART officials said in a press release. She will report directly to DART President and CEO Nadine Lee.
Reich has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience, most recently at the city of Dallas, where she served as CFO. She was also named a Trailblazing Woman in public finance in 2021 by Bond Buyer, a media group serving the municipal finance community. Prior to serving Dallas, Reich spent 16 years at the Social Security Administration.
"[Reich] brings a diverse skill set to the agency, including deep financial experience, strong analytics and a track record of achievement. She is the right leader to helm our talented finance organization and deliver a comprehensive strategic financial plan that will help drive our rider-focused vision for the future," said Lee.
