DART hires Leggett as executive vice president


Deanna Leggett will oversee several DART departments and lead design consultants and construction contractors in her new role.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has selected Deanna Leggett as executive vice president of growth and regional development.

Leggett has more than 20 years of experience in planning, development and operation of public transportation projects. At DART, she will oversee departments involving capital planning, real estate, environmental compliance, transit-oriented development, commuter rail, design and construction. She also will oversee an array of design consultants and constructioin contractors.

Most recently, Leggett worked for Hatch LTK, where as VP she oversaw projects and client engagement for transit and rail clients in the south-central United States. She also served as chief operations officer at of Bowman Engineering and Consulting.

Leggett "is a proven transportation leader who brings a unique combination of strategic thought leadership and an extensive record of operations performance, project delivery and innovation that will expand [our] leadership capacity," said DART President and CEO Nadine Lee in a press release.
