Denton County Transportation Authority's (DCTA) board will meet today to discuss last week's resignation of President Jim Cline.

"Our board is committed to identifying a successful plan of action that will enable the agency to continue to be a leader in advancing public transportation," said Nicole Recker, DCTA's vice president of marketing and communications, in a press release.

The agency did not reveal a reason for Cline's resignation, which occurred Aug. 31.

Cline served as DCTA's president since March 2010. Prior to serving the agency, Cline had more than 20 years of municipal public works and transportation experience working for the cities of Beaumont and Irving, Texas.

DCTA is the transit agency serving Denton County, Texas. In addition to bus services, the agency operates the A-train, a regional commuter-rail line.
