New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently announced Vice Chairman Edward Dunn resigned on Dec. 31.

Appointed to the board in 1999 and vice chairman since May 2003, Dunn had served as a member of all MTA operating committees. He also had chaired the finance committee and served as a member of the MTA Metro-North Railroad, MTA New York City Transit and Capital Construction committees. His board term would have expired June 30, 2006.

“With the successful fulfillment of the 2005 financial year, and the approval of the 2006 budget and four-year forecast extending through 2009, it is time for me to step down,” said Dunn in a prepared statement.
