Dyke to serve as Virginia representative on WMATA board

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell recently appointed James Dyke Jr. to serve on the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission board to represent Virginia Secretary of Transportation Sean Connaughton. Dyke also will serve as Virginia’s representative on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority board.
A partner in the law firm McGuire Woods L.L.P., Dyke previously served as secretary of education under former Virginia Gov. Doug Wilder and as a special assistant to former Vice President Walter Mondale.
