Two short lines recently announced executive changes, according to American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association's bi-monthly newsletter released Jan. 28.

East Camden & Highland Railroad Co. named L. Bruce Coffey executive vice president, responsible for overseeing the 48-mile short line's operations in four states, strategic business development and customer relations.

Coffey has more than 30 year's experience with Class Is, regionals and short lines, serving in such positions as signalman, brakeman, trainmaster, superintendent of transportation, general manager and regional general manager.

Also, Canton Railroad Co. named Thomas Streicher general manager of operations, responsible for the 21-mile short line's train and engine, maintenance-of-way and equipment departments, as well as customer service and operations planning.

Streicher previously served Norfolk Southern Railway for more than 30 years, serving as trainmaster, terminal superintendent and district superintendent, and holding various positions in the Class I's mechanical and service design departments.
