Michael Baker Jr. Inc. recently named Stephen Noonan rail transit engineering manager. Assigned to the company’s Philadelphia office, he will be responsible for developing transit-rail and public transit engineering projects, and managing technical services for national and Northeast Corridor projects.

For the past 13 years, Noonan has served the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he led rail systems design and fleet management projects for PATH and the John F. Kennedy International Airport Passenger Distribution System. He previously held various positions with the American Bureau of Shipping.

Noonan is a member of the Virginia High Speed Rail Committee, New York Railroad Club and High Speed Ground Transportation Association, where he served as a board member last year.

Michael Baker Jr. is an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corp., which provides engineering, and operations and maintenance services for transportation, aviation, environmental, facilities and utility clients.
