The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art recently named Ronald Drucker chairman to succeed Robert Bernhard, who will continue to serve as a board trustee.

A Cooper Union board member for the past five years and former vice chairman, Drucker previously served CSX Transportation as president and chief executive officer, senior vice president of transportation and chief engineer. He also had served CSX Corp. as SVP and chief information officer, and CSX Technology as chairman, president and CEO.

Currently a transportation and technology consultant, Drucker serves as a board member for Landstar System Inc., Sun Trust Bank-North Florida, the National Defense Transportation Association and L. D. Pankey Dental Foundation.

Founded in 1859, New York City-based Cooper Union is a private college offering art, architecture and engineering courses.
