Former Massachusetts transportation secretary Grabauskas joins MBTA as general manager

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) recently appointed Daniel Grabauskas general manager, effective May 16. He will succeed Michael Mulhern, who plans to retire.
Grabauskas has served the Massachusetts state government for several years, most recently as transportation secretary, overseeing four agencies and more than 8,600 employees. He also served as MBTA’s board chair.
