Fuchs becomes Wisconsin & Southern's GM; MacDonald joins TTCI board

Watco Transportation Services L.L.C. has named James Fuchs general manager of the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad Co. (WSOR). Watco acquired the railroad late last year.

Fuchs, who will oversee WSOR's day-to-day operations, joined the regional in March 2012 as assistant general manager. He previously served CN for 15 years in various capacities, including assistant superintendent of the Stevens Point, Wis., area.

Meanwhile, Canadian Pacific Senior Vice President-System Scott MacDonald has assumed a seat on Transportation Technology Center Inc.'s (TTCI) board.

Since joining CP as director of locomotive maintenance in 2003, he has served as service area manager-mechanical, general manager of operations, assistant VP of operations, AVP of transportation and VP of transportation.

Other TTCI board members include Carmen Bianco, MTA New York City Transit; Dave Ebbrecht, Kansas City Southern Railway Co.; Sameh Fahmy, CN; Lance Fritz, Union Pacific Railroad; Ed Hamberger, Association of American Railroads; Carl Ice, BNSF Railway Co.; Mark Manion, Norfolk Southern Corp.; Oscar Munoz, CSX Transportation; Thomas Simpson, Railway Supply Institute; Lisa Stabler, TTCI; and D.J. Stadtler, Amtrak.
