Georgia Southwestern Railroad Inc. recently named Arnie McCullough chief mechanical officer, according to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association. He will be responsible for the 282-mile short line's locomotive fleet and supervise rail-car inspections.
McCullough has 30 years' experience in railroading, and more than 20 years' experience with locomotives and cars.
Georgia Southwestern operates track in southwest Georgia and eastern Alabama, and moves agricultural products, chemicals, plastics, aggregates and forest products.
