Greenville & Western Railway Co. L.L.C. (GRLW) recently promoted Brandon Julian to manager of compliance and training and named Sandra Chrisler an administrative assistant.

Most recently a rail transportation specialist and qualified track inspector, Julian has served GRLW since 2009. He will manage federal and state regulatory compliance, and be responsible for developing and implementing employee training programs for GRLW and sister short line Aiken Railway Co. L.L.C.

"His dedication to safety and industry excellence, as well as his interest in continually expanding his education and training for the benefit of the company has made [Julian] the clear choice for the position," said officials of Western Carolina Railway Service Corp. — which owns both GRLW and Aiken Railway — in a press release.

Chrisler previously had a decade-long affiliation with YMCAs in South Carolina and New York in various development and administrative positions.

GRLW operates 12.7 miles of track in Anderson County, S.C., and interchanges with CSX Transportation and the Pickens Railway. Aiken Railway operates 18.9 miles of track in Aiken County, S.C., and interchanges with Norfolk Southern Railway.
