BNSF Railway Co. recently promoted Amy Hawkins to vice president of federal government affairs, effective Jan. 1. Most recently assistant VP of federal government affairs, she will succeed VP of Government Affairs Skip Endres, who plans to retire at year end.
“Skip has led our government affairs activities from Washington, D.C., since late 1994 [and] was instrumental in gaining support for our 1995 merger,” said Jeff Moreland, executive VP of law and government affairs, and corporate secretary, in a prepared statement. “Amy has been working alongside Skip since she joined BNSF in 2001, following more than 10 years in federal government relations and transportation policy making.”
