Genesee & Wyoming Inc.’s (GWI) board recently elected David Hurley as a member.
Vice chairman of PrivatAir since February 2003, Hurley previously served as the company’s chief executive officer. In 1984, he founded Flight Services Group, which PrivatAir acquired in 2000.
“[Hurley’s] entrepreneurial approach and leadership at FSG set the standards for safety, training and professionalism in business aviation,” said GWI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mortimer Fuller III in a prepared statement.
GWI operates 47 regionals and short lines in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Bolivia.
