IANA names Keppler senior VP
The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) announced yesterday that Stephen Keppler has joined the organization as senior vice president, a newly created position.
Keppler's duties will include overseeing member services and conference/events departments and developing new businesses for IANA's information services.
Keppler has nearly 24 years of experience in truck safety and freight transportation issue management. Most recently, he was executive director of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, a position he held since 2009. Prior to joining CVSA, Keppler was director of vehicle systems at Intelligent Transportation Society of America. Additionally, he served six years at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration Office of Motor Carriers, which would later become the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Keppler's wealth of knowledge, expertise and standing in the freight community will be put to good use on behalf of IANA's membership, starting at the Intermodal EXPO to be held next month, said IANA President and Chief Executive Officer Joni Casey said in a press release.
IANA created the SVP position in response to the association’s growth in membership, programs and services, IANA officials said.
