In memoriam: BNSF AVP Denny Boll

Dennis "Denny" Boll, a former assistant vice president of signals for BNSF Railway Co., died March 20 after a long bout with cancer.
He was responsible for overseeing safety, budget, productivity and quality issues for BNSF's signal department.
Boll was instrumental in working with the Railway Systems Suppliers Inc. (RSSI) to help restructure its annual exhibition format.
"His input, commitment and support enabled us to provide an exceptionally high value to our member companies and our railroad customers, and reach unprecedented levels of success over the past decade," said RSSI President Tom Ulrich of Arthur N. Ulrich Co. in a notice to members. "In both his business and personal endeavors, Denny was a shining example of professionalism, class and dedication, and he will be missed by so many of our members."
