Jakubowski joins Anacostia Rail Holdings as CCO

Anacostia Rail Holdings recently appointed Eric Jakubowski to the newly created position of chief commercial officer. Based in Chicago, he will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of marketing activities, and report to President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Gilbertson.
Most recently director of network strategy for CN, Jakubowski has more than 28 years of transportation and rail industry experience. He previously served as director of interline marketing and was responsible for CN’s integration of the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway Co. Prior to joining CN, Jakubowski held various positions at Conrail.
“Eric has been involved in many creative and productive transactions throughout his rail career … [and] is ideally suited to strengthen our commercial team, enhance our customer focus and further our relationships with all our Class I partners,” said Gilbertson in a prepared statement.
Anacostia Rail Holdings owns six short lines operating in seven states, including the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad, Gulf Coast Switching Co., Louisville & Indiana Railroad, New York & Atlantic Railway, Northern Lines Railway L.L.C. and Pacific Harbor Line Inc.
