MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) veteran Frank Jezycki has been appointed vice president and chief officer for the Staten Island Railway, NYCT President Carmen Bianco announced yesterday.Jezycki began his career with NYCT in 1985 as a maintainers helper in the ventilation and drainage department. For the past 25 years, he has held supervisory and managerial positions of increasing responsibility within the Department of Subways.Most recently, Jezycki headed the infrastructure group in the Department of Subways as the chief infrastructure officer. Jezycki played a vital role in the recovery and rebuilding following Hurricane Sandy, and has been an instrumental leader in new technology projects, NYCT officials said in a press release."Throughout his career, Frank has demonstrated a high standard of professionalism and a positive communication style while consistently meeting and exceeding performance expectations," said Bianco. "In his new position as vice president and chief officer, Jezycki will continue to foster a safe, healthy, and unified work environment to achieve the highest level of customer and employee satisfaction at the Staten Island Railway."
