Kansas City Southern recently promoted William Wochner from vice president and interim general counsel to senior VP and chief legal officer. He will be responsible for U.S. legal, claims and corporate secretary functions, and U.S. and Mexican commercial contracts and operating agreements.
Since joining KCS in 1981 as general attorney, Wochner has served as SVP of marketing, VP and general solicitor in the legal department, VP of sales and marketing-coal business unit and contracts, and VP and associate general counsel.
A lawyer since 1972, he previously practiced law privately, and for the Interstate Commerce Commission, Nebraska Public Service Commission and AT&T.
