Kansas City Southern recently promoted Carl Harrison from senior manager of business solutions delivery to assistant vice president of information technology and business solutions. He will be based in Monterrey, Mexico, and report to Senior VP and Chief Information Officer Scott Arvidson.

Since joining KCS in 2003, Harrison has managed a number of financial systems for the company. He previously held various information technology consulting and management positions at BNSF Railway Co., Exxon, DST, H&R Block and Sprint PCS.

“Carl’s leadership will be critical to the further development of a near-shore IT development center in Mexico,” said Arvidson in a prepared statement.

KCS also promoted Suzanne Grafton from director of external reporting to AVP of financial reporting. She reports to VP and Chief Accounting Officer Michael Borrows.

Prior to joining KCS last year, Grafton served Deloitte & Touche L.L.P. as an audit senior manager.
