Yesterday, Kansas City Southern announced it promoted R. Michael Chapman to senior vice president of transportation; Michael Bilovesky, to VP of marketing, agriculture and minerals; and Thomas Campbell, to assistant VP of support services.

Most recently VP of Transportation, Chapman will be responsible for The Kansas City Southern Railway Co. and Texas Mexican Railway Co. With more than 30 years' railroad experience, he joined KCS in 2002 as general superintendent of terminals.

"Chapman's leadership has helped the railroad decrease system dwell time by 32 percent and car cycle time by 22 percent since June 2002," said Arthur Shoener, KCS and Tex Mex president and chief executive officer, in a prepared statement.

Bilovesky most recently served as AVP of marketing, agriculture and minerals. Since joining KCS in 1992, he has served in various management capacities. Campbell has served in several operating department roles since joining KCS in 2002.
