Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) has promoted Jesus Gabriel Cervantes Martínez from gerente de impuestos to subdirector de impuestos, or assistant vice president of Mexico taxes.

He previously represented KCSM and the rail industry before the Mexican government on key tax matters, helped the railroad adapt to Mexico's new tax law changes and developed a team of tax professionals at KCSM.

Cervantes Martínez leads the Monterrey-based tax team, which is responsible for tax accounting, compliance and planning in Mexico.
