R. J. Corman Railroad Group L.L.C. has named Craig King as its new president.

King succeed Tammie Taylor, who has been appointed vice chairman after 28 years with R. J. Corman Railroad Group, company officials said in a prepared statement.

King joins the company after a 35-year career at CSX Corp., where he most recently served as regional vice president transportation-North since early 2010. King held positions of increasing responsibility in the engineering and transportation groups during his career at CSX.

At R. J. Corman, King's "experience and perspective" will help ensure the company's continued success, said founder and owner Rick Corman.

"His leadership will set the pace for the next stage of our growth," he added.

Founded in 1973, R. J. Corman Railroad Group is a multi-service provider to the railroad industry. The company has more than 40 U.S. locations, including 10 short-line operations.
