The Ports of Indiana has named Anthony Kuk director of the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor in Portage, Ind. He succeeds Peter Laman, who stepped down to move back to his hometown in Michigan after leading the port the past four years.
Kuk most recently was general manager of Nexeo Solutions’ Midwest operations. He previously held various leadership roles for Unisource Worldwide Inc., Consolidated Freightways and Preston Trucking Co. in the Chicago area.
“[Kuk’s] operational management and global logistics experience with a major industrial company make him a great fit for this role,” said Ports of Indiana Chief Executive Officer Rich Cooper in a prepared statement.
Norfolk Southern Railway is the rail-switching service provider for the Burns Harbor port.
