L.A.-area port's board seeks new executive director, installs officers

The Port of Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners recently contracted national executive search firm RSR Partners to help find a successor to Executive Director Richard Steinke, who plans to retire in September. Steinke has agreed to remain in the post until his successor is named.

The board also appointed Susan Anderson Wise president to succeed Nick Sramek, who has held the position for two terms and now will serve as vice secretary. In addition, Thomas Fields was named vice president and Mike Walter was appointed secretary.
