The League of Railway Women (LRW) has named two new deputy chairs to its board: deputy education chair Vickie Vaughn, a marketing coordinator at BNSF Logistics; and deputy membership chair Shundrekia Stewart, the director of customer delivery operations at Trinity Industries Inc.

Vaughn has been involved in supporting this year’s webinar program with LRW Education Chair Kari Gonzales, the president and CEO of Transportation Technology Center Inc. Vaughn has 20 years of experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives, growth planning and needs assessments.

"Over the last few years, we have worked hard to deliver educational sessions through our webinar program that are relevant, led by leading rail industry experts and provide exceptional value to our membership. Vickie’s passion for the industry and extensive experience will help us further evolve this program," said Gonzales in a press release.

Stewart’s background includes an extensive knowledge in rail, surface transportation, infrastructure financing, sales, supply chain management, customer service and public-private partnerships. Prior to joining Trinity Industries, she served BNSF Railway Co. for 26 years in a variety of roles, most recently as director of public-private partnerships.

"Our membership has been growing at historical rates and Shundrekia will help lead programs to improve our newly instated membership management programs and establish new processes and procedures to improve the membership process," said Anne Schlegel, LRW member chair.
