The League of Railway Women (LRW) is seeking nominations for the 2023 Railway Woman of the Year, an award that's co-sponsored by Progressive Railroading.

"The Railway Woman of the Year award honors an extraordinary woman who has steamed ahead in the rail industry, leaving a trail of innovation, leadership and remarkable contributions," LRW officials said in a press release. "We are searching for women who have powered through challenges, brought transformative changes to the railroad industry and elevated the grade for the future of women in railroading.”

Nominations are due Oct. 13. The award recipient will be notified in November and presented the award at the National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association 2024 Conference & NRC-REMSA Exhibition, scheduled for Jan. 3-6, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The nomination form is available here
