The League of Railway Women (LRW) is seeking nominations for the 2023 Railway Woman of the Year, an award that's co-sponsored by Progressive Railroading.

Nominations are due Oct. 13. The award recipient will be notified in November and presented the award at the National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association 2024 Conference & NRC-REMSA Exhibition, which is scheduled for Jan. 3-6, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The nomination form is available here.

"The Railway Woman of the Year award honors an extraordinary woman who has steamed ahead in the rail industry, leaving a trail of innovation, leadership and remarkable contributions," LRW officials said in a press release. "We are searching for women who have powered through challenges, brought transformative changes to the railroad industry and elevated the grade for the future of women in railroading.”
