Lake State Railway adds Davis, Earl to board

Lake State Railway Co. (LSRC) of Michigan this week named R. Matt Davis and James Earl to its board.

Davis and Earl "have extensive and diverse backgrounds in business and the rail industry, with deep ties to Michigan and the Midwest. I know that they will be great partners to support Lake State as we continue to expand our platform," said LSRC President and CEO John Rickoff in a press release.

Earl previously served GATX Corp. as executive vice president and president of its rail international division. He serves on the boards of Harsco Corp., Textainer Group Holdings Ltd. and Northern Plains Rail Cos.

Davis previously served as president of Dow Inc.'s North America division. He now is president of Driftwood Leadership, which focuses on leadership strategies and inspirational training. Davis serves on the boards of Altria Group Inc. and Trumble Inc.
