Letellier named to CN's board

CN has appointed Michel Letellier to its board, effective Oct. 1.

Letellier is president and CEO of Innergex Renewable Energy Inc., based in Montreal. He has extensive North American business experience and has been a “driving force” in the renewable energy industry with Innergex since 1997 and as president and CEO since 2007, CN officials said in a press release.

Previously, Letellier was responsible for the development and operation of hydroelectric projects for Boralex Inc.

As Innergex CEO, Letellier has implemented a business model that balances people, the environment and prosperity. His integrated approach has created partnerships enabling communities to own up to 50% of the renewable energy infrastructure installed by that company, CN officials said.

"Michel is an accomplished Montreal-based business leader whose extensive business and strategic experience, sustainability leadership and record of entrepreneurship, combined with financial acumen and a track record of business accomplishments, make him an exceptional addition to CN's board," said CN Chair Shauneen Bruder.
