San Diego’s Metropolitan Transit System — which operates San Diego Trolley — recently announced Chairman Leon Williams will retire Nov. 10.
A MTS board member since the body was created in 1976, Williams has served as chair the past 11 years. The agency’s executive committee has been creating a list of potential candidates to succeed Williams and will accept nominations through Oct. 28. To be selected by voting members of the board, the chairman serves a four-year term.
