The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) recently appointed a senior manager and three department heads.

The authority named Kenneth McDonald assistant general manager of operations to oversee system operations and maintenance. With more than 20 years’ experience at MARTA, he most recently served as senior director of maintenance operations. He also has held various positions in corporate management, engineering design, operations management, system and fleet maintenance, and project management.

Meanwhile, MARTA named Shawn Cooper director of marketing and sales. Prior to joining MARTA, she served as systems sales manager for ADT Security Services Inc.

The authority also named Robert Lattimer director of corporate business strategy and analysis. He most recently was a managing partner of consulting firm The Lattimer Group Inc.

Finally, MARTA named Jeffrey Parker senior director of transportation operations. With more than 17 years’ transit industry experience, he previously served as director of subway operations and rail vehicle engineering at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
