Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Janno Lieber has appointed Craig Cipriano as interim president of New York City Transit (NYCT).

Cipriano has served as president of MTA Bus Co. and senior vice president of NYCT’s department of buses since 2019.

Also, Demetrius Crichlow has been promoted to SVP of the department of subways. He became acting executive VP of the department earlier this year.

Crichlow previously served as deputy general manager of subways, chief officer of field operations for subways, head of the rail control center and chief officer of MTA Staten Island Railway.

Lieber recently became the MTA's acting chair and CEO following the pending departure of Patrick Foye. Lieber previously served as chief development officer and president of MTA Construction and Development.
