Maryland Transit Administration names Smolenski deputy operations director

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) recently appointed John Smolenski deputy director of operations.
With 21 years of transit experience, he most recently served as the agency’s director of special services. Smolenski began working at MTA in 1984 as supervisor of systems maintenance. Since then, he has held a variety of positions, including superintendent of rail-car maintenance, quality assurance officer and manager of operations technology.
