Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) recently named Ralign Wells director of the agency’s subway system.

He most recently served as deputy director of bus operations. Since beginning his MTA career in 1989 as a weekend bus operator, Wells also has served as a rail supervisor and assistant transportation superintendent.

Serving 42,000 daily passengers, MTA’s 15.5-mile, 14-station subway system runs between Owings Mills and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
