The Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Co. L.L.C. (MBCR) recently promoted several senior managers.

The railroad promoted Customer Service Manager Gillian Wood to chief customer service officer. She will oversee service design, equipment and train staffing, on-board customer protocols, contract compliance and customer communication.

MBCR also promoted Deputy General Manager Stephen Urban to chief transportation officer. He will manage train operations, dispatching, crew management and operating rules compliance.

In addition, the agency promoted Chief Train Dispatcher Barry Osborn to director of safety and training; Interim Manager of Human Resources Elizabeth Trowbridge to director of human resources; and Planning Manager Charles Planck to director of planning.

A partnership between Connex North America Inc., Bombardier Transportation and Alternate Concepts, MBCR operates and maintains the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s commuter-rail service.
