McAndrews named port association chair

The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) recently installed Mark McAndrews as the 2016-17 chairman.

McAndrews is director of the Port of Pascagoula in Mississippi. As AAPA chairman, he succeeds Jim Quinn, president and chief executive officer of Port Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada.

McAndrews also chairs the association's U.S. delegation, whose other officers include Chairman-Elect Steven Cernak of the Port Everglades, and Vice-Chairman William D. Friedman of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority.

Canadian delegation officers are Chairman Gaetan Boivin of the Trois-Rivieres Port Authority; Chairman-Elect Denis Caron of the Belledune Port Authority; Vice Chairman Carl Laberge of the Saguenay Port Authority; and Past-Chairman Jim Quinn of the Port Saint John.
