Metrolink Chief Financial Officer Ronnie Campbell has been named CFO of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Campbell received the award at a Sept. 26 ceremony celebrating financial officers throughout Southern California, Metrolink officials said in a press release.
Metrolink Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Wiggins said she nominated Campbell for the award because of his "exemplary leadership since joining Metrolink in 2016 and his record of problem solving that helps Metrolink grow and succeed."
Campbell increased Metrolink’s balance sheet by $43 million and improved cash flow through spending controls and process improvements, she said.
Additionally, under Campbell’s leadership, Metrolink reduced staff time devoted to budget development, encouraged more fiscal discipline and establishing a more policy-oriented budget process primarily through a multiyear budget.
